The Ben Gurion University biomedical student club was established in 2005 by students from biomedical Engineering. The club is currently being run by BME students with representatives from all academic years and graduate students. As of 2007 the club became associated with IEEE-EMBS. The club is open to any student, undergraduate or graduate, at Ben Gurion University. It's a social club, a professional development club, and an academic club all in one.

The club goals are to:

  • Enable members to meet and network with people (students, professors, and those in industry) with similar interests.

  • Promote the development and awareness of biomedical engineering throughout the university, the industry, and in the community .

  • Provide members with opportunities to exchange ideas and information .

  • Expose students to a diverse range of projects within the field .

  • Promote student welfare.

The IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) is the world's largest international society of biomedical engineers, with about 8000 members. EMBS has been serving the needs of biomedical engineers throughout the world since the early 1950's. EMBS members have an interest in biomedical engineering, and come from diverse backgrounds - ranging from medical doctors and clinical engineers to physicists and students.

Our branchs' activities are being organized by volunteer students for the cause of better welfare for all BME students. Along with being a part of IEEE most of our activities are being sponsored by private companies through donations.      If you wish also to support our activities please contact us.    The BME student organization would like to thank to "Naiot venture Capital" for their generous support.
